I decided that I do not do nearly enough drawing, so I decided that I would do at least one drawing a month with a seasonal theme. Well it sounded like a good idea, we'll see how far I get with it
So this is my picture for October (obviously...). I wanted something cute and sort of simple and I think I pulled it off nicely. Took me about 14 hours over the course of a week. Yes, I'm kinda slow, lol.
Completely original and created totally in Photoshop 8 with a Wacom tablet.
Halfway through colouring the candy I had to stop and run to the store - I had developped a sudden craving for candy corn. I wonder why?
My favorite part of this picture would have to be the socks and the eyes. I was trying to mimic the Akane Ikegami style with the eyes and really think I got it. I'm at a phase with my art where I'm experimenting with different styles and trying to come up with something that's uniquely mine, yet still reflects the things I love about the people who've inspired me
Anyway... Happy Halloween!
